Schedule
AUGUST 9-11, 2010 | LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
Program updates as of July 23 include more workshops added to the line-up and a new one-on-one GSA Multiple Award Schedule Counseling session.
Small Business Certification Corner
Counselors from the City and County of Los Angeles, Public Works, Caltrans, State of California and the federal government will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for one-on-one sessions to help demystify the small business qualification and certification process. When you have a long break in your matchmaking schedule, stop by to meet with a counselor.
GSA Multiple Award Schedule Counseling
This counseling corner will allow businesses the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a representative on questions involving the GSA Multiple Award Schedule process. (An appointment is not required to stop in and talk with our counselors.)
General Session: Partnering Agencies
Hear from the leaders of the agencies that partner with GSA in hosting Opening Doors 2010 about their small business programs, opportunities and upcoming projects.
Federal Agency Town Hall: OSDBU Directors
Distinct from the Small Business Administration, many federal agencies have their own Offices of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. In this town hall forum, a panel of OSDBU Directors will answer audience questions on policies and processes and give valuable input on how, together, we can develop and implement programs to further support small business growth in government contracting.
Large Business Town Hall: Subcontracting Opportunities
Large and small business representatives unite at this town hall to make win-win connections. In addition to moderating open discussion, the panelists will describe successful subcontracting partnerships and cover new policy, instructions for completing and submitting updated forms for participation and the pros and cons of this type of arrangement. |
